Special Board Meeting and Workshop

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting and workshop on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 5:30 PM, at MacGowan School in the District Meeting Room (Use Door #3 on Curtis). This meeting and workshop are open to the public.

We are pleased to announce that applications will be accepted under Sections 105 and 105c to our School of Choice program for students whose parents reside in Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties. The following openings are available:

Grade 1 – 5 spots at Hilbert Elementary

Grade 2 – 5 spots at Beech Elementary

Grade 3 – 5 spots at Beech Elementary

                   5 spots at Hilbert Elementary

Grade 4 – 5 spots at Beech Elementary

                   5 spots at Hilbert Elementary

Grade 6 – 5 spots at Hilbert Elementary

Grade 7 – 5 spots at Redford Union Jr. High

Grade 8 – 5 spots at Redford Union Jr. High

Application Process:  
Applications will be available on-line at www.redfordu.k12.mi.us/enroll-now/ beginning Friday, January 16, 2026, and will close on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. To apply, click on Enroll Now to access the School of Choice Application, which is on the right side of the page, or by selecting the yellow bar labeled “School of Choice Pre-Enrollment”.

· A separate application must be completed for each child you wish to enroll

· After submitting each application(s) proceed to Pre-Enrollment to complete the process.

· All required documentation must be submitted by 4:00 pm on January 29, 2026.

If the number of applications exceeds available openings, a lottery will be held on January 30, 2026

10 spots available at Redford Union High School

Application period: Tuesday, July 15, 2025, through Wednesday, August 13, 2025

We will be accepting applications from students located in Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties under section 105 and 105c School of Choice. We are accepting limited applications for 10th grade beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2025, through August 13, 2025, at 11:59pm. No applications will be given out prior to July 15, 2025. 

Applications will be on-line at www.redfordu.k12.mi.us/enroll-now beginning July 15, 2025. Click on Enroll Now. You can access the School of Choice Application by Clicking on Grade 10 Limited School of Choice Application on the right or click the yellow bar, School of Choice Pre-Enrollment. There will be a link to the application in it as well. You must complete one application for EACH child you are enrolling. Once you have submitted your application, please continue to Pre-Enrollment. When your Pre-Enrollment is submitted and we have all required documentation you will receive an Acceptance or Denial Letter. We must have your School of Choice Application and all required documentation on or before August 13, 2025, at 11:59pm. If more than 10 applications are received a lottery will be held on August 14, 2025.
