*IMPORTANT NOTICE*
As student & staff safety remain a top priority, we wanted to inform our Redford Union community of an incident earlier today (Tuesday, September 27th). A high school student was approached by an unknown male this afternoon soon after the student had exited the school bus near Curtis & Norborne. A school district staff member from Durham Transportation Services fortunately noticed this student in some distress and intervened to help the student. The Redford Township Police Department were notified of the situation and intervened as well. A male suspect was soon after taken into custody. Per an update this evening from the Redford Township Police Department, there is no danger to our students or the community at this time.
