Is your computer slow or is it not running as it should be?
Try Restarting your computer if you are still having problems after a restart try running updates on your computer.
How to update your Desktop or Laptop.
For the best results you should check for updates at least once a week. You can do this on Fridays and do a restart before you go home for the weekend.
In Windows 11&10, you decide when and how to get the latest updates to keep your device running smoothly and securely.
- Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > select Check for Windows update.
- If any updates are available for you, select Download & install. Your device will download and install the updates. If prompted to do so, restart your device to apply the updates.

Windows 11 Upgrade
After October of 2025 Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows 10. Before this happens the IT Team will be upgrading all the Redford Union District desktops and Laptops to Windows 11. If you know your computer is still on Windows 10 you can email the IT Team at https://www.redfordu.k12.mi.us/staff-links/tech-department-work-orders/ with a subject line of Windows 11 Upgrade and we can work with you to find the best time to do this for you.
