SHANNA BLUE

My name is Shanna Blue, and I am a proud wife, mother, and dedicated member of the Redford Union community. I am passionate about family, education, and advocating for children and families.

I am a proud graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Valley State University. My educational experiences have shaped my belief that every child deserves access to a quality education, a safe learning environment, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

On August 25, 2026, I accepted an appointed position with the Redford Union Schools Board of Education, where I have the opportunity to contribute to the educational community and work alongside individuals who share a commitment to our students and schools.

As a parent and community member, I understand the importance of strong communication and collaboration between families, educators, administrators, and school leadership. I believe parents should have a voice in their children’s education, and I am passionate about making sure students feel supported, included, and valued.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting community events, celebrating important milestones, and giving back to others. I believe in being present, building meaningful relationships, and using my experiences to make a positive difference.

I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our school board members, educators, staff, students, and families. My goal is to be a positive, engaged, and supportive voice for our school community, while helping create an environment where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
