PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING TIME AND LOCATION CHANGES AS OF 1/1/2024:
The Redford Union Board of Education Regular Meetings will be held at 5:30 PM on the second Monday of each month (except if the Monday falls on a holiday or scheduled school break).  The Board Workshops will be held at 5:30 PM on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except if the Tuesday falls on a holiday or scheduled school break).  The meetings and workshops will be held at MacGowan School (District Meeting Room), 18255 Kinloch, Redford Twp, Redford, MI 48240. 

Additional notifications of the School Board's Regular Meetings, Workshops, and Special Meetings will be posted on the District's home page and Facebook page at least two (2) days before the actual meeting date. 

The Board of Education is composed of seven local citizens serving terms up to six (6) years.  Elections for seats on the Board of Education are held in November on even years.  The board has complete control over local school matters within the framework set by the Michigan Legislature and the State Board of Education.  The board determines general policies for the care, management, and control of the district's public schools.

EVELYN PRIDEMORE was elected to the Board of Education in 2013.  She served as Vice President from July 9, 2018, to July 12, 2020.  On January 11, 2021, she was elected Treasurer.  She also previously served as Treasurer from January 2015 to July 2018.  

On July 12, 2021, Evelyn was elected President at the Board's Organizational Meeting.

Evelyn was reelected as President at the Board's Organizational Meeting on July 10, 2023.

LATINA MILLER was elected to the Board of Education in the November 2022 General Election for a 6-year term beginning January 1, 2023.  LaTina has a Bachelor's degree in Math.  She also has a Master's degree in the Art of Teaching.  Lastly, she has a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.  LaTina has been a resident of Redford Township for over ten years.  She is a passionate, lifelong learner and advocates for public education.  She has four children, 3 of whom are Redford Union High School alumni.  During her time on the school board, she hopes to be a voice for all of the Redford Union staff, students, and community.

At the September 2,6, 2023, Special Board Meeting, Ms. Miller was nominated and elected for the office of Vice-President.

LORNA DEAN was elected to the Board of Education in the November 2022 General Election for a 6-year term beginning January 1, 2023.  Lorna is married and a mother of six, a business owner, a full-time employee, and a resident of Redford Township.  She was educated in the Detroit public school system, graduated from Detroit's Martin Luther King Junior-Senior High School in 1989, and later earned a business degree in health services administration.  Lorna subscribes to the notion that there are awesome opportunities that present themselves to us all in life, and she considered membership on the Redford Union Schools Board of Education one of those opportunities.  Lorna considers it an honor to serve this community not only as a board member but as the board secretary.  She plans to represent our school community to the absolute best of her ability.

Lorna was elected Secretary of the Board on January 17, 2023, at the Organizational Meeting, and she was reelected as Secretary at the July 10, 2023 Organizational Meeting.

JAMES (JIM) BAILEY was elected to the Board of Education in the November 2020 General Election for a partial 2-year term from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022.

Jim was reelected to the Board of Education in the November 2022 General Election for a 6-year term beginning January 1, 2023.

LaKeya Martin was appointed to the Board of Education on September 26, 2023, to fill a vacant seat.  LaKeya has worked with students and families for the past 16 years as an education advocate.  By helping students and parents/guardians to establish and maintain positive learning environments within schools throughout Michigan.  LaKeya is a champion for students who receive special education programs and services.  She has served on the Michigan Department of Education Special Education Advisory Committee(SEAC), and on both Wayne RESA and Oakland Schools Intermediate School Districts' Parent Advisory Committees.  LaKeya is married and has a young adult son who attends Michigan State University.

JEFF OSOWSKI was appointed to the Board of Education on November 7, 2018, to fill a vacant seat.  He was elected as Board Treasurer on January 14, 2019.  On July 13, 2020, he was elected as Vice-President.  He has lived in Redford for over 20 years with his wife and two daughters, both Redford Union High School graduates.  He has been active in the Redford Community and the School District, serving as President of the Bulman Elementary Parent Club from many years ago until the last two years and President of the Redford Union Blue and Gold Boosters for the past six years. 

In the November 2020 General Election, Jeff was elected for a 6-year term beginning January 1, 2021.  

Jeff held the Vice president seat from July 12, 2021, through July 10, 2023.
