Beech's Semester 2 Honor Ceremonies is Coming!!!


As we are winding down the end of the 2017-2018 school year, the staff at Beech are excited to celebrate the success of our students during the second semester! We would like to keep our parents and community aware of the dates and times of each grade level's ceremony, so that you can join in on the celebration!

Wednesday, June 13, 2018 is the date for the ceremonies for grades 2-4. The times are:

9:15am-10:15am: Grade 2

10:20am-11:20am: Grade 3

2:00pm-3:00pm: Grade 4

Each ceremony will take place in Beech's Large Gym, and ONLY students who receives special invitations from their teachers will be getting awarded at the ceremony

Lastly, Thursday, June 14, 2018 is the date for the 5th grade students promotional ceremony held from 10:00am-11:00am. 

We hope to see many of our parents, friends, family, community members present at each ceremony!

Beech Makes Sock Delivery!


All of the Redford Union Public Schools got involved in the district sock drive to donate them to the Redford Interfaith Relief! On Friday, April 20, 2018, four of Beech Elementary's 5th graders and Assistant Principal Dr. Bradley made the special sock delivery to the Redford Interfaith Relief. Once they arrived there, the staff at Interfaith was very appreciative of all the generosity and hard work put forth by all of the schools in the district!

Way to go Redford Union District Panthers on serving the community! 



Beech Gets a Visit from the Senator during March is Reading Month


On March 26, 2018, 2nd Grade Teacher Mrs. Schaar's class got a special visit from State Senator David Knezek! Senator Knezek came and read a very funny book to the class and discussed the importance of reading! The students really enjoyed his visit!

Family Literacy Night was a Success!!


On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Beech Elementary hosted the 1st Annual Family Literacy Fair to celebrate March is Reading Month! There was popcorn, books, presentations from each grade levels, and a lot of interactives for parents, students, and staff to engage in! See the pictures below from this exciting event!

A StoryTeller Came to Visit Beech!


On Monday, March 19, 2018, the 4th Grade students were brought into the music room to hear some classic tales performed by StoryTeller Mrs. Gwen Lewis! The students had a great time as Mrs. Lewis painted many visual pictures in their heads and had an engaging conversation about them about being a star leader in literacy! See the pictures below.

Beech Staff Member Won a Classroom Makeover!


On November 16, 2017, 5th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Dayna Malcolm was awarded a grant and other goodies through Meemic's Shepard Insurance Agency to makeover her classroom! She was one of the seven teachers within the Redford Union School District, South Redford School District, and Clarenceville School District to be awarded this opportunity! Way to go Mrs. Malcolm!
