POSITION: Teacher of the Speech & Language Impaired - Part-time 3 days/week (Pre-school & Elementary)

 

LOCATION: Special Services Department

 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Communicate, collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, supervisors and students

- Evaluate and provide speech therapy to elementary and high school language students

- Evaluate student progress

- Maintain contact with staff and parents

- Prepare education records (i.e. M.E.T. & I.E.P.T. progress reports and Medicaid)

- Work on a special education team

 

SALARY: Salary Schedule per R.U.E.A. Master Agreement

 

EDUCATION: Special Education Certificate in the area of Speech/Language and Master’s Degree

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

- Must have good organizational skills

- Must have good written and oral language ability

- Good interpersonal skills with children, teens and adults

 

SALARY/BENEFITS: In accordance with the R.U.E.A.A. Master Agreement
